Unity in the family of God (Psalm 133:1-3)
Geoffrey Williams, 6 December 2015
Part of the Psalms of Ascent series, Sunday Evening service
This evening we will look at some of the characteristics of unity. Not sameness, nor a kind of shallow hanging together which harbours deep divisions beneath, nor uniformity. Unity has a cost – but it is worth it. Unity is characterised by grace, both given and received. Unity refreshes and renews us.

Psalm 133 (Listen)
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
133:1 Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the LORD has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore.
