Dear HBC family,
It is good to greet you again, and to attach a resource which will accompany our ‘Facebook Live Prayer’ on Sunday at 10.30am and 6.30pm at our Church Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/hertfordbaptistchurch/. This is also a resource for reading, reflection and prayer for those who can’t access the intenet, but still want to have something to reflect on at home on Sunday along with the rest of the fellowship.
I also just want to remind you of a few things:
- Please get in touch via the office, or to Dawn or me directly, if we can offer any pastoral support: a phone call, a prayer, etc. We won’t be undertaking face-to-face visits at this time unless there are extraordinary circumstances. We will be working to keep in touch with as many people as we can during this time when we can’t meet together.
- Please pray for the Leadership Team who will meet on Tuesday evening via video conference call! Remember them in your prayers as they seek to lead the church at this time.
- Please also remember our Office Team who are doing a valiant job! – the office is closed to everyone apart from staff for their health and wellbeing, but we are seeking to keep the office staffed Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 2.00pm to receive phonecalls or email. Out of those hours, please contact Dawn or me.
- If you would like to receive a copy of a Seven Day Prayer Guide for the Coronavirus Crisis, please see the church website or ask the office to mail you a copy.
- Sermons for our ‘regular’ sermon series will appear on the website as normal, and we are exloring whether we can offer CD copies for the few who cannot access the internet.
- If the church can serve you practically in any way at all, whether picking up groceries, or prescriptions etc., please let us know and we will do what we can.
Please know that I am praying for you all each day, and working as best as we can to support the fellowship and keep us connected in these days. These are challenging days for us all, but we have a great and compassionate God in whom we place all our trust.
