It was absolutely fantastic to welcome the Mayor of Hertford - Rachel Carter - to church on Sunday morning!

We had a great time together, as we thanked God for everything that we love about our town and community, and also spent time praying for the peace, prosperity and wellbeing of those who live in Hertford and the surrounding areas.

We are excited for all that God has in store for our town and what happens next!

Our Lent series and Call to Prayer starts tomorrow!

Do come along to the Ash Wednesday gathering at 7.45pm, as we begin this season of seeking God together and asking 'What Next?'

Then on Thursday 6th March, our gathered times of prayer will begin (8am, 9am, 12noon and 7pm), and the prayer room will be available throughout the day for people to come and use.

Why not make a commitment to come along to one of these session every week of Lent. We would love you to join us.

We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming the Mayor of Hertford - Rachel Carter - to our gathering this Sunday morning at 10.15am.

It is an un-official visit (no robes and chains!), but we will be interviewing Rachel, and using this time together as an opportunity to pray for our town, for our local leaders, and to reflect on where and how God might be calling us to get move involved with the local community.

Do come along and join us - it is going to be a fantastic morning!

Before we move into March, we're taking the opportunity to give thanks for all the ways that we have seen God at work in January and February..........

We heard fantastic testimonies at the Whole Church Celebration, have welcomed 100s of babies and toddlers to our midweek groups, launched a new website, encouraged others to share from the Bible on Sundays, enjoyed a fantastic Welcome Lunch, felt full of love at the Valentines Craft Afternoon, joined churches across Hertford to pray for our town, and heard stories from Futurehope and Christians Against Poverty.

And now we are loving seeing the signs of Spring all around us! We are excited for all that God has in store for us in the coming month!

Lent begins next week on Wednesday 5th March.

Lent is the 40 day period before Easter, when we create space and time in our normally busy and hectic lives to pause and to reflect, and to prepare our hearts and minds to remember Jesus' death and to celebrate his resurrection.

Come along to our Ash Wednesday gathering next week at 7.45pm, as we not only mark the start of Lent, but also launch the church-wide Call to Prayer and begin our new teaching series 'How to Hear God.'
