The Hub is a monthly family event with crafts, games, stories and a meal held in Sele Farm Community Centre. The group has been running for over 11 years but has recently gone through some transitions. It’s long term leader honourably retired, but the group of leaders have continued to work hard at creating a great event for families in the Sele community. An uncharacteristic couple of months break over the summer came to a conclusion in mid-September with the annual Hub BBQ. It was great to welcome around 50 people to a great start of term celebration, many of whom were new to the group.
Learning some circus skills with the help of Tim Simmonds was very popular and we imagine that the sale of diablos will rocket in the area after many people upskilling themselves in the course of the afternoon! The usual fun crafts and games were enjoyed by everyone and the burgers and hot dogs were the extra special bonus. We hope to continue to offer this valuable ministry, but like everything we keep things under regular review. These next few months at the Hub will be crucial in helping us move on to the next phase of our work at Sele and of the Hub in particular.
Please get in touch via our website if you’d like to find out more about the Hub and all that takes place on the third Sunday of the month at Sele Community Centre.
