Sunday Services
We would love you to join us at one of our regular Sunday services. Expect to pray, sing, and hear a speaker a passage from the Bible and how we might respond to it. Overall we aim to Meet God, Make Friends and learn how we can Make a Difference in our world. Style wise, we are a fairly relaxed church! Wear what you like (our regulars wear anything from jeans to jacket and tie). Sit anywhere, and ask the Welcome Team for help with anything you need.
We enjoy worshiping together and seek to teach the Bible in an applied and relevant manner. The sermon topics are usually part of a series – either themed or working through a particular book of the Bible. There is an opportunity for prayer ministry at the end of Sunday services with a member of our prayer ministry team.
An accessible ramp is located at the side/Chambers Street entrance to the church.
For details of this Sunday, please see the HBC connect.
Morning Service
In the morning we gather for worship at 10.15am. Crèche facilities and children’s and youth groups are available. We meet all together for the first 15 minutes and then the children and young people leave for their age-related groups. After the morning service, we enjoy time together over tea and coffee in the church.
Communion is normally celebrated on the third Sunday of the month. As a church, we have an open communion table which means that if you know and love the Lord Jesus you are welcome to join in.
Worship and Prayer
Every 2nd Sunday evening at 7pm, we meet for an hour. There is a different focus each time – but at the heart of our time together is worshipping and connecting with God.
Occasionally, we hold other services and prayer meeting on an ad-hoc basis. Please see HBC Connect for details.
