We are a large, evangelical Baptist church serving the town of Hertford and surrounding areas. As well as a desire to introduce others to Jesus, we want to help one another become more committed followers of Jesus Christ. Our stated core purpose is “Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ”.
Our worship is varied in style, and we have activities for many different age groups and interests. We have members in our fellowship from a variety of Christian traditions. A large fellowship worship with us each Sunday and many children and young people are associated with the church.
We would be delighted if you joined us for our worship and fellowship on Sundays – you would be very welcome!
On Sunday mornings, we meet at 10:15am. This is a service for all ages that includes youth and children’s groups and a crèche.
As part of our mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, we support Christian workers locally and around the world. We take seriously the importance of supporting members of the fellowship who are called to train and prepare for Christian ministry and mission.
We are actively involved with other churches in the town. We are part of Hertford and District Churches Together, and are with membership of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Evangelical Alliance.
We were delighted that ‘Prospects’ recognised Hertford Baptist Church as a ‘Learning Disability Friendly Church’.
